Precisely machine your AR9 80% lower with the right tools and jig.

Completing your AR9 or 9mm PCC build means getting the 80% lower cut and drilled just right. These new receiver blanks work with AR-15 lower parts kits, though their external shape and dimensions differ slightly because of their proprietary design and smaller, Glock-compatible mag well. To ensure proper fitment and cutting of the fire control cavity for the LPK, it is recommended you select one of the AR9 jigs above. Each jig includes the necessary tooling (drill bits and end mill bits) to complete your lower for final assembly.

First time building a PCC? Here's the AR9 Build & Ballistics Guide.

AR-9 Jigs Include Bits Required for Machining

We strive to keep costs low for every "from-scratch" AR build, and the AR9 is no different. If you want to complete your receiver blank on a budget (without sacrificing quality) stick with the Universal Polymer 80% AR-15/AR9 Jig. At around the $50 price point, you get all the cutting and drilling templates required, plus quality HSS bits for precision results.

Or, if you're the shooter who wants to build multiple ARs in the future (who doesn't?) consider the bomb-proof AR15/AR9 Elite Builder Jig. Made from hardened steel plates with high-speed drill bushings, this lower's capable of spitting out numerous forged or billet lowers for the AR9 and AR-15 and also includes all the required bits for completing your receiver.

What's Included

Regardless of which jig you select, you'll receive all the necessary tooling for completing your 80% lower:

  • (1) 5/16 Drill Bit
  • (1) 3/8 Drill Bit
  • (1) 5/32 Drill Bit
  • (1) Center-Cut HSS End Mill
  • (2) Side Plates w/ Drill Templates
  • (3) Top Plates for Fire Control Cavity

Recommended Tools & Accessories

To ensure your workstation is properly equipped for cutting and drilling your receiver blank, we strongly recommend investing in the following:

  • Bench-top vise for securing jig/receiver
  • Tabletop drill press (1,850 - 2,250 RPM)
  • Digital Calipers to verify measurements
  • Bubble level for leveling jig and receiver
  • Round machinist file to clean burs and edges
