The 9mm cartridge utilizes blowback functionality to cycle in the AR platform. That means no gas system's required. But that also means the recoil impulse -- and the energy imparted on the bolt carrier -- can be excessive if you're running a standard AR-15 buffer.
This AR9 Pistol Buffer Tube Kit provides the appropriate heavy 9mm buffer (5.4 ounces) to reduce felt recoil and improve handling and accuracy.
